Graduation Ceremony Information

College Credit Commencement Ceremonies

Spring 2012 graduation will have two ceremonies on Monday, May 14:

2 p.m.: Associate of Arts candidates and all Bachelor degree candidates.

6:30 p.m.: Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, and Certificate candidates.

Daytona State College confers degrees at the end of each full semester of Spring, Summer and Fall. The commencement ceremony is held at the end of our Spring term (May), and includes all graduates from the previous Fall semester, and current candidates for Spring and upcoming Summer semesters. The commencement ceremony for our college students is held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.

*FOR CEREMONY PARTICIPANTS

The Commencement Ceremony will take approximately 2 hours. Please allow yourself that time as we encourage all participants to stay until the ceremony’s entirety.

*Daytona State uses students cumulative GPA to determine Honors or High Honors status. If a graduating student’s GPA changes after final grades are in, resulting in the student receiving Honors or High Honors status, this will be recognized on the student’s diploma and final transcript, but will not be changed for the ceremony.

Adult Education Graduation

Spring 2012 Adult Education graduation ceremony will take place Tuesday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the L. Gale Lemerand Center on the Daytona Beach Campus.

Daytona State College confers Adult High School Diplomas as they are submitted to the records office. Daytona State College Adult Education Commencement Ceremony is held once a year at the end of our Spring semester (May) and includes all High School and GED candidates for graduation from previous Fall, and current Spring and Summers semesters.

Candidates submitting graduation applications past the priority deadlines cannot be guaranteed that their names will be listed under any graduation/Commencement publications.
