DAYTONA BEACH, FL (July 1, 2011) – Daytona State College’s Institute for Health Services announces a forty-hour course to prepare individuals who are interested in becoming professional guardians.
A professional guardian is someone who is appointed by the court to make decisions for an individual who has been judged unable to manage their own personal and financial affairs, and is entitled to reasonable fees for services rendered and reimbursements for costs incurred.
WHAT: 40-hour Professional Guardianship Education Course
WHEN: July 9, 10, 23, 24 & 30, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Daytona State College, Daytona Beach Campus, Health Sciences Hall (bldg. 320), rm. 546, 1200 W. Int'l Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach
COST: $300 (includes 350-page manual)
